The James J. Hill Center opened in 1921 as the James J. Hill Reference Library and has remained a prominent fixture of the historic landscape of downtown St. Paul. Through its historic print collection, tours and exhibits, the center shares the narrative of James J. Hill’s entrepreneurial legacy and its impact on the individuals, companies and communities the library has touched.

The Grammy Award-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet plays to sold-out houses worldwide. Their inventive, critically acclaimed transcriptions of concert masterworks provide a fresh look at the music of the past, while their interpretations of works from the contemporary and world-music realms continually break new ground. For this program, we return to the beautiful James J. Hill Center (formerly the Hill Reference Library).
