The international career of the Spanish cellist phenom Pablo Ferrández has exploded in recent years, with concert tours and festival appearances in the United States, Europe, Russia, and the Middle East. A top prizewinner at the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition, Ferrández has been hailed as a “new cello genius” (Le Figaro) while the LA Times raved: “Pop-idol magnetism, superb technique and exhilarating musicality reveal a sure star!…Pablo Ferrández has turned into a cello phenomenon and one of the most in-demand instrumentalists of his generation.”

Ferrández has appeared in recent seasons with the Boston Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra, Bavarian Radio Symphony, Munich Philharmonic, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic, Orchestra National de France, Israel Philharmonic, Oslo Philharmonic and Seoul Philharmonic orchestras. His touring and recording collaborators speak volumes about his musicianship, as he has performed alongside Anne-Sophie Mutter, Martha Argerich, Janine Jansen, and Yefim Bronfman.
