Ordway Concert Hall
Join us for an evening of 100-year old silent movies with original live music by Accordo. “Women in Early Cinema” features six movies from the collection “Cinema’s First Nasty Women” selected by guest curator Maggie Hennefeld. These rarely-seen silent films, made between 1899 and 1926, are about feminist protest, slapstick rebellion and suggestive gender play, with live music by composers Michelle Kinney, AJ Isaacson-Zvidzwa, Meg Morley, Jess Julian, John Novacek and Stephen Prutsman.
