CANCELLED – First Thursday in February

Thursday, February 7, 4:00PM

Schubert Club Music Museum

Due to the impending snow forecast, February’s First Thursday will be cancelled. We hope to see you all in March, and apologize for any inconvenience!

The Schubert Club Museum is open late on the First Thursday of each month from 4-8 pm! This is a great opportunity for the community to experience our engaging collection of historical music and replicas, original autographed letters from notable composers and other music-themed exhibits of historic and cultural interest outside of the regular daytime hours.

Free to the public, visitors can enjoy guided tours, live demonstrations, fun interactive music-making, and complimentary wine (for guests 21+) and refreshments. Every month is a unique experience with different activities hosted by Schubert Club, such as special guest(s), demonstrations, and live music.

If your daytime plans don’t allow you to visit the Schubert Club Museum, this is an awesome way to spend an evening learning, exploring, and socializing with others!

First Thursday Schedule of Activities for February

Enjoy musical excerpts performed by Twin Cities pianist and educator, Franco Holder.  He will play piano repertoire by Bach, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Barber, Einaudi, Sculthorpe, Kapustin, & Busch from 5-7 pm at our next First Thursday on Feb. 7.  The museum will be open for tours between 4 and 8 pm and enjoy a glass of complimentary wine and other treats.

Two of Schubert Club Museum’s beautiful keyboards will be featured:  The beautiful 1824 Graf forte piano replica built by Rodney Regier and our recent gift from Sita Ohanessian, a 7-foot Steinway B grand piano built in Hamburg around 1980 which belonged to her sister and pianist, Beatrice.
