Family Concert: Siama’s Congo Music

Feel-good Sounds from the Heart of Africa

Siama invites us on an exciting musical journey to Africa! He’s known for his intricate guitar, spirited singing and traditional African instruments like Mbira (thumb piano) and Balafon (Marimba) and his band elevates the music with warm harmonies, jazz piano and funky bass and drums. Be ready to dance and sing along to catchy songs in Lingala, Kikongo, Swahili and English while experiencing Siama’s original take on the uplifting traditional music, Soukous and Congolese Rumba of his Bas Congo homeland.

Program

Family Concerts are hosted by Twin Cities vocalist and music educator, Kathy Lee!
