Now Hiring: Marketing Internship (5 month paid position)

Marketing Internship

5 month paid internship (September 2017-January 2018), 12 hours per week

This internship is structured to provide real-life experience assisting with nonprofit marketing, interactive media and audience development. You will gain experience writing and creating compelling content for multiple social media vehicles and gauging success for each communication. Through the Theoroi program, you will have the opportunity to work with a large variety of performing arts organizations thereby growing your professional arts network.

Job Responsibilities:

Social Media: This position will be responsible for assisting the Director of Marketing & Ticketing with all social media and online marketing efforts. This will include creating engaging content for social media platforms, making posts to social media platforms on a regular basis including in real-time during events and concerts, interacting with and responding to posts by others on all platforms, and developing new ideas and researching new trends for using social media to assist marketing and communication efforts. 

Theoroi – Arts Ambassador Project: This position will assist the Director of Marketing & Ticketing with Schubert Club’s Theoroi program ( Responsibilities will include assisting with coordination of Theoroi events and extra social events for the group; managing attendance and social media usage by Theoroi members, and assisting with communication to Theoroi members through email and social media. You will be responsible for keeping Theoroi social media up-to-date, posting content on a regular basis to keep the group engaged, keeping the Theoroi website page up-to-date, and responding and interacting with posts on social media. You will be expected to attend Theoroi events and assist with day-of event logistics.

Marketing: This position will assist with many various marketing tasks including but not limited to: submitting concerts and events to local online listings of events; assisting with distribution of marketing materials; helping with website edits and gathering of digital assets; assisting in other marketing and audience development tasks and activities as assigned by the Director of Marketing & Ticketing.


Proficiency in social media including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest & Instagram.

Excellent written communication including strong editing and proofreading skills.

Familiarity with WordPress, MailChimp and SurveyMonkey a plus.

Available to work occasional weekends or evening events.

Familiarity with performing arts.

Must be at least 21 years of age
