The Schubert Club Student Scholarship Competition, held each spring, awards approximately $50,000 annually to young musicians. Two cash prizes in each instrument division and age level are awarded – $2000 and $1500 – to be used for further musical education.
Students first competed in a preliminary round, which took place on February 27. The finalists from that round went on to compete in the Finals Round which took place this past Saturday. The winners from that round are listed below. Besides winning cash prizes, each winner was also invited to perform at the Winners Recital which took place at the Ordway the next day (this past Sunday).
