Coming Up: Family Concerts featuring Cuarteto Latinoamericano, Friday, April 24

These concerts are intended for children and their families. Children of all ages will be entertained and excited as they learn about music and participate in these interactive concerts!
Concerts are approximately 45 minutes in length.

 The series features composers and performers of local, national, and international prominence. The series offers listeners a rare opportunity to enjoy one of the richest and most varied forms of musical literature. Through imaginative and varied programming, traditional chamber music, jazz, new compositions, and popular music are all available in a context which links rather than separates them.

Cuarteto Latinoamericano

“Latin Panorama”
Friday, April 25, 2014, 5:45 & 7:00pm

In their program titled “Latin Panorama,” the Mexican-based string quartet brings a world of exciting music from Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica and Argentina to listeners of all ages.  Winner of the 2012 Latin Grammy for Best Classical recording, Cuarteto Latinoamericano is known worldwide as the leading proponent of Latin American music for string quartet. The Cuarteto also created (and heads) an academy in Caracas, Venezuela, which has become a noted training ground for young string quartet players.
