Special Grants

The Schubert Club offers grants to serious, talented music students in need of financial assistance to further their musical development. Most grants are $500 or less and are used for special music education projects such as summer camp, workshops, etc. Applicants must be between the ages of 12 and 30 (32 for vocalists) and a resident of Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

  • Amherst Early Music Festival’s Baroque Academy

  • Boston GuitarFest at the New England Conservatory

  • Bowdoin International Music Festival

  • Eastern Music Festival

  • Encore School for Strings

  • Golandsky Institute Summer Music Symposium

  • Greenwood Music Camp

  • Italian language study at the University of Minnesota

  • Madeline Island Music Camp

  • Meadowmount School of Music

  • Minnesota Opera Camp

  • Northern Lights Chamber Music Institute

  • Université Européenne d’été pour le Saxophone

  • Young Artist Camp at the University of Minnesota-Duluth

The costs of on-going lessons, on-going school tuition, transportation or housing are not supported by Special Grants awards.
