Jazz Piano Competition
On Sunday, May 16, 2010, three finalists will compete in front of a panel of celebrity judges and a live audience at the Dakota Jazz Club and Restaurant. At stake are scholarships totaling $2000 honoring Marie Froelich, Jane Matteson and David Paulus. The competition winners will also have an opportunity to perform through the Dakota Foundation for Jazz Education and/or The Schubert Club later in the year.
Open to high school students grades 9–12, this competition rewards excellence among students of America's great indigenous art form.
