"an extraordinary haven for music and musicians"
-Yo-Yo Ma, cellist
For 127 years, The Schubert Club has tantalized audiences with the highest quality of performers from around the world, showcased talented Minnesota performers, provided scholarships and educated inner-city students through free music lessons. And now, our free to the public Museum has been updated as a state-of-the art interactive experience for people from all walks of life.
Whether you’ve appreciated or benefitted from our programs for a long time or you are new to the Schubert Club, it’s only made possible by generous supporters like you. Your gift ensures the quality programming you’ve come to expect will continue for generations to come.
The Schubert Club has a history of balancing its budget every year since its inception. Few arts organizations, if any, can match The Schubert Club’s sustained artistic excellence and fiscal responsibility. This achievement is due, in large part, to the many wonderful patrons who have given The Schubert Club their generous financial support.
A longstanding Schubert Club policy is to make ticket prices, as well as school and museum programs, affordable and accessible to as many people as possible. Yet rising costs of production and artist fees make it imperative that contributions continue to grow to enable The Schubert Club to maintain its current level of excellence. Your contribution will help ensure the continuation of The Schubert Club’s:
* International Artist Series
* Scholarships
* Bruce P. Carlson Student Scholarship Competition
* Interactive Schubert Club Museum
* Project CHEER (free music lessons for youth)
* Courtroom Concert Series
* Recordings
* World Music and Indonesian Gamelan Program
* Composers-in-Residence
* Hill House Parlor Concerts
* Radio Broadcasts
* Music Therapy
* Annual Festival of Song
* Commissions and Performances of New Works
* Catalogues and Publications
...and a plethora of additional museum and concert programs designed for our youth and the whole Twin Cities community.
