The Bruce P. Carlson Schubert Club Student Scholarship Competition, held each spring, awards approximately $50,000 annually to young musicians to be used for further musical education.
Starting this year, the Competition will be spread across two weekends and two locations. Brass, Woodwinds, Voice and Guitar will compete at Augsburg College on Saturday, March 4, and Finals will be held the following day, Sunday, March 5. Piano and Strings will compete at St. Catherine University on Saturday, March 11, and Finals will be held the following day, Sunday, March 12. The winners of all categories will be invited to perform at the Winners’ Recital at the Ordway Concert Hall on Saturday, March 25.
