David Evan Thomas received the An die Musik Award “in recognition of outstanding dedication and commitment to the work and mission of The Schubert Club” at The Schubert Club Annual Luncheon on June 8, 2016 at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, St. Paul, Minnesota. The event featured an address by composer Libby Larsen and vocal music by Larsen and Thomas, sung by Maria Jette, Clara Osowski, Roy Heilman and Bradley Greenwald, with pianists Timothy Lovelace and Sonja Thompson. Thomas, who has served as composer-in-residence and program annotator for The Schubert Club, accepted the award from Barry Kempton, the organization’s Artistic and Executive Director.
