Social Media and Marketing Internship

3 month unpaid internship, 12 hours per week

This internship is structured to provide real-life experience assisting with nonprofit marketing and interactive media. You will gain experience writing and creating compelling content for multiple social media vehicles and gauging success for each communication.

Position Description:
Social Media: This position will assist the Marketing & Audience Development Manager with all social media and online marketing efforts. This will include creating engaging content for social media platforms, making posts to all platforms on a regular basis, interacting with and responding to posts by others on all platforms, and developing new ideas and researching new trends for using social media to assist marketing and communication efforts.

Theoroi – Arts Ambassador Project: This position will assist the Marketing & Audience Development Manager with The Schubert Club’s Theoroi program (schubert.org/theoroi). This will include assisting with recruitment of new members for the 2014-2015 Theoroi season. He/She will be responsible for Theoroi social media and online content. He/She will be expected to attend Theoroi related events.

Marketing: Assist in marketing tasks and activities as assigned by the Marketing & Audience Development Manager.

Qualifications
· Proficiency in social media including Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Flickr & Instagram

· Excellent written communication including strong editing and proofreading skills.

· Available to work occasional weekends or evening events

· Familiarity with performing arts

· Familiarity with WordPress a plus but not required

· Must be at least 21 years of age

Internship Details
This is an unpaid, temporary position starting in early June and concluding in late August. A stipend is provided to help cover the costs of transportation.
